Flagstaff’s high-country ski area for winter runs, lessons, and rentals, plus scenic gondola rides in warmer months.
About
Arizona Snowbowl sits on the San Francisco Peaks north of Flagstaff. Winter brings skiing and snowboarding across beginner through advanced terrain, along with lessons, rentals, mountain dining, and lift-served views. In summer and fall, the enclosed Arizona Gondola carries visitors to about 11,500 feet for wide views across northern Arizona, with the Grand Canyon and Sedona visible on especially clear days.
Why stop: It is Arizona’s best-known lift-served mountain day, whether you want to ski, learn on beginner terrain, or simply ride the gondola for the view.
Good to know: Mountain weather and road conditions can change quickly, and open lifts or terrain are never guaranteed. Buy dated tickets online, check parking and shuttle information, bring sun protection, and pack a warm layer even when Flagstaff feels mild.
Hours: Lift, gondola, rental, dining, and guest-service hours change by season and conditions. Check the official hours and mountain report before leaving.
