1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of BizFaves. By visiting the site, creating an account, saving a fave, or submitting a listing, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
BizFaves is a free community directory that helps local businesses be found and helps people find businesses that suit their tastes. The service is not a booking agent, seller, employer, licensing authority, professional advisor, or representative of listed organizations.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information, use a password you are authorized to use, and keep your credentials secure. One person may not impersonate another person or organization. You are responsible for activity performed through your account until you notify us of unauthorized access.
You must be at least 13 years old to use BizFaves. If the law where you live requires a higher age to form this agreement, a parent or legal guardian must provide permission.
3. Listings and control
Anyone with a reasonable, good-faith basis for believing information is accurate and lawful to publish may submit a business. A submitter may be an owner, authorized representative, customer, resident, or community contributor. Managing a BizFaves listing does not establish legal ownership of the business, trademark, or underlying content, and the account currently managing a listing is not shown publicly.
A verified owner or authorized representative may claim and take over a listing at any time. We may request reasonable verification before transferring control. We may also edit formatting, keywords, duplicate records, broken links, or clearly outdated facts to keep the directory useful.
4. Your content and permission to display it
You retain the rights you have in text, images, and other content you submit. You grant BizFaves a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, resize, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate, promote, secure, and improve the directory. This permission ends when content is deleted from active systems, except for reasonable backups, legal records, and material already shared outside our control.
You represent that you have permission to submit the content and that it does not violate privacy, publicity, copyright, trademark, contractual, or other rights. Do not upload confidential records, payment information, government identifiers, medical information, or content unrelated to the listing.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use BizFaves to post false or deceptive information; impersonate others; harass, threaten, or discriminate; distribute malware; collect credentials; interfere with site operation; evade access controls; automate abusive requests; scrape at a level that harms the service; manipulate fave counts; create fraudulent accounts; or promote unlawful products or services.
Listings may not contain reviews disguised as descriptions, personal attacks, sexually exploitative material, stolen images, misleading contact details, or links intended primarily for spam, phishing, or unrelated advertising. We may reject, limit, unpublish, or remove content that violates these rules or undermines the directory.
6. Faves, featured listings, and search placement
A fave is a member’s personal save and a lightweight community signal. It is not a verified purchase, professional endorsement, quality guarantee, or factual claim about a business. Search placement may consider fave counts, relevance, completeness, location, recency, safety, and other quality signals. We may adjust search systems and remove artificial or abusive activity.
Businesses may purchase one year of featured placement for the price shown at checkout. The current limited-time offer is $25 instead of $50. Customers may pay once or choose a PayPal subscription that renews annually at the displayed discounted renewal price until cancelled through PayPal. Active featured listings can rotate through featured positions on the home and search pages, appear before standard matching results, and use do-follow service links. They are clearly labeled “Featured” and do not represent an endorsement. BizFaves does not promise a particular amount of traffic, number of faves, customer result, or continued placement beyond the paid period.
7. Third-party businesses and websites
BizFaves does not control listed businesses or outside websites. Hours, prices, availability, eligibility, addresses, menus, services, and policies can change. Confirm important information directly with the official provider, especially before traveling, purchasing, booking, or relying on health, government, legal, financial, or emergency information.
Transactions and disputes between users and listed organizations are solely between those parties. A listing is not an endorsement, partnership, sponsorship, or claim of affiliation unless explicitly stated.
8. Intellectual property
The BizFaves name, visual design, software, original copy, and site structure are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms do not grant permission to copy the service, reuse branding, resell directory data, or create a confusingly similar product. Fair use and other rights provided by law remain unaffected.
To report content that you believe infringes your rights, email cs@bizfaves.com with the page URL, a description of the protected work, your contact information, and a good-faith explanation of the issue.
9. Availability and disclaimers
BizFaves is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue features and may correct or remove content without notice.
Nothing on BizFaves is professional advice. For urgent or regulated matters, use an appropriate official source or qualified professional.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, BizFaves and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or harm arising from listings, outside links, user content, or use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid BizFaves in the prior twelve months or one hundred U.S. dollars.
11. Enforcement and termination
We may investigate suspected violations and restrict, disable, or terminate accounts or content when reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, or enforce these terms. You may stop using BizFaves at any time and may request account deletion. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability—will survive.
12. Changes, governing law, and contact
We may update these terms as BizFaves develops. Continued use after revised terms take effect means you accept them. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect. These terms are governed by the laws applicable in Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where consumer law requires otherwise.
