A red-rock getaway for scenic drives, hikes, galleries, tours, creek stops, dining, and memorable Arizona sunsets.
About
Sedona works as anything from a long day trip to a full weekend. Start with the red-rock scenery, then choose your pace: hike or bike a trail, take a Jeep or trolley tour, explore Oak Creek Canyon, browse Uptown galleries and shops, or settle in for dinner beneath the cliffs. The Sedona Visitor Center in Uptown is a useful first stop for maps, current trail guidance, parking information, and ideas that fit the weather and your group.
Why stop: Few Arizona destinations offer this much scenery and choice in one compact area: trails, art, food, tours, and sunset views all work in the same trip.
Good to know: Popular trailheads fill early, especially on weekends. Use Sedona’s trailhead shuttle where available, check whether your stop needs a Red Rock Pass, carry more water than you think you need, and stay on marked trails to protect the fragile landscape.
Hours: Sedona is open year-round. Visitor Center: daily, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM; closed Thanksgiving and Christmas. Individual attractions vary.
