A big Gilbert park with lakes, playground fun, multi-use trails, and lots of fields and ramadas for gatherings.
About
Discovery District Park is a large Town of Gilbert park (about 48 developed acres) with outdoor recreation for all kinds of plans. You’ll find two lakes, playground area, and multi-use trails throughout. It also has multiple sports spots—lighted and unlighted multi-use fields, lighted sand volleyball courts, and lighted basketball courts—plus benches and bike racks. For groups, there are ramadas (both group and picnic) with tables, grills, and power, along with a restroom-concession building. The park also lists helpful amenities like trash receptacles, lighting, and power plugs.
Why stop: Great “bring the whole group” park—walk the trails, hang by the lakes, play on the courts/fields, and reserve a ramada if you’re doing a get-together.
Good to know: If you’re planning a group picnic, the listing notes multiple ramadas with tables, grills, and power, plus lighting and restrooms onsite.
Hours: 5:30 am–10:00 pm (regular park hours). Public ramadas and other amenities can be reserved any day of the week between 5:30 AM–10:00 PM.
